Good news. We have a few dozen kilos of those lovely SOLSONA AVOCADOS.

AVOCADO NAPAKLAYO. Word of our watermelon rescue effort in San Nicolas town spread to SOLSONA town, still Ilocos Norte. Ang layo! Lagpas Dingras, papunta na ng Mt. Sicapoo, such exotic place names must have exotic AVOCADOS. These avocados are the LAGKITAN variety, picking tomorrow. We said “Yes” of course, bahala na si Truckman. Backload ulit.; The best thing about this is the trucks are 16-wheeled and empty. Each box sits on the bed like a king, hindi napipitpit. The farmers promise to use mango boxes and wrap them in newspapers. We promise to make sure na walang “Made in China” ang boxes and the newspapers will be in Ilokano, for authenticity. Haha. But seriously speaking, yes this effort directly helps the farmers of Solsona who had only the local market to sell their Avocados. They will get the best price for these, you know it and we promise it.
