The produce in peril is the same, it’s GINGER. Surely you’ve seen that viral picture of the northern farmer selling his Ginger by the side of the highway—P20 per kilo, 5 kilos for P100. You think that’s bad? It is bad but his southern brother’s situation is worse. P15 per kilo, ibabawas pa ang gastusin ng middleman, P8 na lang ang maiiwan. Read for yourself. It’s okay to weep, it’s okay to be angry, it’s imperative to help.
