MANGOES

Back read the story:
Two days before the Box-All-You-Can at ATC, a farmer from Guimaras Island approached us for help. She had 1,000 kilos of mangoes on a boat to Manila, and the intended buyer—you guessed it—has cancelled on her. We took the mangoes and sold them at the RURIPOP where everything was priced at P150. We took a loss of 35,000 pesos but these mangoes helped move more “ordinary” produce from the farmers we are helping everywhere. If you were in the BAYC ATC, you probably met our mom Rose. She claimed a box of those mangoes to bring back to Baguio for the family’s enjoyment. However we made a three-day side trip to Camp Mingan in Nueva Ecija and the mangoes ripened there. Twenty kilos of mangoes, four people to eat them, clock ticking. Too much of a good thing is a very good thing. We were vey happy campers gorging on the sweetest mangoes in the world. Andie and I had such a good experience with Guimaras mangoes we travelled to that Island to attend the Mango Festival. Andie and I had such a good experience at that festival that we created our own Mango-All-You-Can-Eat Festival in AyalaMalls Market! Market!
