UBE KAMOTE

YOU TUBER. This sprightly old fellow, 66 year old Celso Ragadio of San Marcelino, Zambales took it upon himself to accompany his Super Taiwan Yellow tubers to RuRI House. He also bought a small sack of sample UBE, that’s what they call red kamote in Zambales. He was only momentarily down-trodden when we said we are not buying red camote, at least not yet until we launch a request for our members to buy some. He lit up when we said that and he said he had an idea, something daw that no one is doing online. Mananawagan daw siya to tell people how good his ube is. His actual words were “Gawa ako ng video. Ipaliwanag ko sa kanila kung gaano kaganda at kasarap ang tanim kong ube.”

We did not tell him that this is how we usually do it. We said “Good idea yan, sige po.”

So that’s what he did, right there at RuRi House, and the video is actually very good. Para daw kayong nasa Chowking pag natikman ninyo ito. Back in Zambales now, he sent us these pictures of the ube kamotes being being harvested and it looks like he is not kidding.
